Born in Israel to Persian parents, Orly Noa Rabinyan is an independent theatre director, trained in London and in Tel Aviv.
Orly Noa is a member of EVE – Israeli Independent Theatre Makers Association, Lincoln Center Directors Lab, La MaMa Umbria and The Watermill Performance Center. Her work often addresses themes of migration, multi-belonging and cultural exchange, often from a feminist point of view.

In recent years she created, directed and produced the #posthome_theatre trilogy, which includes: PARTICIPATORY PERSIAN TEA CEREMONY performed at changing locations; An adaptation of Luigi Pirandello’s THE MAN WITH THE FLOWER IN HIS MOUTH, premiered at Jaffa & Haifa Theatres as part of Pirandello150 International Festival; and PARRHESIA, a mash-up event at Tmuna Theatre in Tel Aviv. She is currently co-artistic directing the second season of EVE Association’s podcast. During the Covid19 pandemic Orly Noa relocated to Zurich and OMG was her first work.

OMG
Als Gott bei einem Menschen Therapie sucht, um ihm über seine quälenden Zweifel hinweg zu helfen, ist nicht immer klar, wer wen therapiert. Die vernunftgläubige Ella, alleinerziehende Mutter eines autistischen Sohnes, trifft auf den Allmächtigen. Sie hat eine einzige Sitzung zur Verfügung, um ein Wunder zu vollbringen: Gott davon zu überzeugen, seine grösste und enttäuschendste Schöpfung nicht aufzugeben – die Menschheit. Ein vergnügliches Schauspiel über den Glauben in einer säkularen Gesellschaft. Darin steht die Bibel im Kontrast zur Ironie des Alltags und der Zweifel kollidiert mit der Hoffnung.
